PHOSPHORESCENT

PHOSPHORESCENT INFORMATION SHEET

Introduction-

This series is a range of insoluble phosphorescent pigments with extended afterglows for general use in paints, plastics, inks and security applications.

This series of phosphorescent pigments has been designed for use primarily in solvent and water based paints but may also be used in molded and laminar plastics, screen inks, rubbers and latex, and many other applications.

These series pigments should not be milled or ground as this damages their crystalline structure leading to reduction in luminescent emissions, they generally have high density, so liquid dispersions containing it should contain suspending agents to reduce hard setting.

The shelf life of this series is indefinite if stored in sealed containers, and they are generally considered to be of low toxicity when used as recommended. However, contact with strong mineral acids should be avoided as this may lead to the liberation of hydrogen sulfide.
